I have just tried to run AH and it gets as far as logging in to a H2H room and crashes with the same message every time :( :-
AcesHigh caused an invalid page fault at 017f:00464b2a.
The DXBeta just crashes to desktop with no error message.
Where do I go from here ????????
The only change has been slightly updated drivers for my Rage Fury card - 4.13.7140 from 4.13.7098. Driver updates have never been a problem before.
Ideas please
Thanks

Try changing in the video setup in AH, if it doesn't work Delete AH and reinstall it, reinstall DX or change version to the latest, install new/old vid card drivers. If nothing works you'll probarly have to reinstall Windows :(
Good luck, hope something works.

Ok - well no way I'm going to re-install Windoze yet so Ah re-install is first.
So..... which files do I need to copy to keep my keyboard and stick mappings ??
I know I need to copy out my custom gunsights.
Anything else I need to do ??

Keep a copy of the whole dir on another drive or a zip if u can,u don't need it all,but if you miss something it will be fixable.

Sparks,
Every time I change something like a video driver I have found it necessary to re-install DX8. Just run the executable again and it seems to make adjustments to the new drivers.
Don't forget to reboot after you do this even though it doesn't ask you to.

Chances are ATIs drivers are to blame. Go back to the original version you had and then install dx8a again.

Thanks guys - you were right about DX8 - I luckily tried a reinstall of DX8 before I saw your message and it fixed it - frame rate is very good again now as well so I can recommend the 4.13.7140 drivers for ati Rage.
AH is ALIVE wooo hoooo

Good to know, I'll add it to my list of known good drivers from ATI for DX8. :)
