I'm kinda new, been playing for three weeks. Im don't know if this has been covered yet, but last night I kept getting a message something "switching to UDP" and then I would get booted. This is the first time its been happened. I'm not super computer savy. Please help

I think connection problems affect us all from time to time. So long as it is only happening rarely I would not be too concerned. If its a regular thing, then first check out the sticky message by Skuzzy about internet connection hints and see if there is anything you can do to improve the way you are set up.

That meant something was messing up your connection. In such cases, it's helpful to run a pingplot to see where along there route the problem was. You can get the program at http://www.pingplotter.com/ (http://www.pingplotter.com/). When you have connection issues, run a plot. You can post the results here to get help identifying the problem.
But many of us have connection issues from time to time, the Internet is not the most stable & predictable thing on earth. As long it's not on a regular base, consider it being a bad day every now & then.
(BTW, I did reduce my disconnects a lot by switching off my router for 5 mins each time I am about to start a AH session to get a fresh connection.)

"LOST UDP SWITCH TO TCP"!! Then I get dropped and it goes to the desk top. Again two days in a row. During my free trial everything was fine, then three days after I paid this happens. How do I switch to TCP? what is UDP? I've read the other posts and its all in greek. Isn't there a list somewhere that tells me what my setting should be and then everything should be fine. I can connect to the internet just fine. This SUCKS!

There is nothing you can set on your end. TCP and UDP are transmission protocols. Again, there are no settings on your end. What's happening is a problem somewhere between you and the game server. It's maddening. Its happened to most of us from time to time. If you can download the pingplotter program that was mentioned in a previous post, run it and post the plot that it gives you someone can help diagnose where the problem might be.
