is this possible?
cause my pc has a Celeron and i have a old Pentium 1 i wanna use/destroy from my Old old old pc...
just curious:aok
Celeron at about 3.20Ghz
Pentium 1 at 500mhz that could be Over clocked to death at about 900mhz?

if socket fits..................
but i doubt it
-
thanks:aok
im mainly out to destroy old equipment considering that the old pc is pretty much FUBAR:D
i wonder how big that old Pentium 1 is:rofl hafts go look and see

Be sure you want to kill the motherboard as well. The heat generated by the failing CPU will most likely burn/melt the socket, making the board unusable.

hmm dont wanna fubar my new pc either
 thanks for warning me

took the old processor out of my old pc:) i dint think i even damaged the old thing
the think that surprised me that it said Pentium 1 on the box but it says Intel Celeron on the chip that holds the processor:confused:
it was made in 98' and my new pc is a Celeron-D (2006) hmm somethings fishy:confused:

Celerons are the crap of the market. They're extremely old technology and were built as a "budget" technology the 15, 20 (maybe more) years ago that they were invented. I'm saddened to see they're still around every day.

kinda silly to just destroy an old pc ... when you could be learning from it .
plus they make good Rat pc's ..for doing the stupid stuff that adds the slow down junk .. or as a TS / messenger /irc type
btw its pritty much impossiable to toast those old pent 2/ celerons they dont allow enough adj in the clocking / timings ... hell they even run without a heat sink for hours sometimes .

i learned how to remove a processor without fubar'ing it:D
now imma see if i can put ti back together and reboot the old thing(if windows isn't wiped out:confused: ) or something
and this isn't a Pent2 its aPent1 (thing looks big for being called a Microprocessor:huh )

You haven't seen what a "regular sized" processor was considered, then.
ENIAC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ENIAC)
-
yea ive heard about that..i heard it was a size of a room:noid
think that thing would be faster then my new pc if we took that and crammed it with about 200 Pent.1's....wait how about dual cores:D

its a slot cpu i bet ... befor that they were using socket 7's which is a 486 cpu
