Title: This conversation actually took place on our squad channel

Scene opens, we are listening to squad vox.

Player A(in a gv)  to player B:  Hey man, can you bring me supplies?

Player B(in tower): No way man, that would mess up my kills per hour.  I'm going for the #1 rank this tour.

(player B respawns then alomst immediately says):  Aw man!  Those %^&*ers bombed me.  Those %^&holes! Mother %$&*@#$! I'm not gonna bring you %&*%ing supplies because I'm pissed off.  $#$dammit!

(player B gets on channel 200 and stages an irrational pissing match w/ the guy who bombed him)

Player A:  Awww that's lame.  If I were shawk you'd bring me supplies.

You encounter that alot in TT, the old hey whoever dies up supplies then reup in armor. Yeah that works ok untill there are supplies out then everyone just keeps upping in armor. Resupply should count as somekind of point...ever try racing across the spawn in a m3 in TT as a tanker I love blasting a fst moving target. Shame to see that happend in squad Im fortunate enough to be with guys that will drop about anything to make sure noone loses tiger perks.

Oh Shawk dont need someone to bring him supplies, when I went tiger hunting in my typhy he was like a planet orbited by them...I killed lancer in his jeep near him and then elk in his m3...there were still 2 more trucks left! Hes like the Bin Ladin of tankers....so many people willing to die for him lol.

And its because of 100's of conversations like these that i continue to fly at night and my wife and kids wonder what the hell im screaming about and laughing about while wearing 1960's looking headphones...

Interesting to know that it has  happened more than once.  I don't mind people playing for rank.. it's their $15.00.
  I would take umbrage if someone had a chance to help me out by dropping supplies or clearing my 6(short of ensuring their own death)  but refused to do so because they might hurt their stats.  If something like that happens either I, or that person, will promptly be leaving the squad.

Steve Bailey, You know that something like this should have been handled by the squad CO or XO. If It's so bad you had to come outside of the squad, and post it on the AH general forums........

I know if I did something like this, I'd be looking at ejection from the squad.

Perhaps if I named names, I'd agree with you.  Since I didn't, and am not going to, I respectfully disagree with you.

OTOH, if I get booted, you can say "I told you so".   :)


Edit:  It's not that it's "so bad".  it's that I was quite incredulous that it took place at all. I found it both amusing and irritating, depending how I considered it.
