Title: Is there free multiplayer?

When I started my two week free trial I had the impression I had plenty of time because there was a free for all or head-to-head and maybe the training.  Well, it does not seem to be so.    Do I have it all wrong?

There is an 8 Player head to head area that is free....

The "8 Player" mode on the startup screen (instead of OFFLINE or ONLINE) is the "Free Multiplayer".

You can play LAN game (within your own LAN) or INTERNET GAME, which is rooms that are player hosted (host can choose/decide on settings, so they might not be "default MA setup") and accessible worldwide. The rooms can have maximum 8 players, skins and squads are not supported in game.

Check the "Free Multiplayer Forum" a little down from this one for the freeloaders community. The Training Arena (as well as all "official" training) is an ONLINE arena and youll only have access during your free trial or when subscribed. But there are a lot of good pilots in H2H (= Head to Head = Free Multiplayer = 8 Player Mode) that offer help as well.

I dont get the free multiplayer! If I havet payed my bill for somereason, I cant fly in the H2H rooms either!

I dont know! But occasionaly payment is late to my bank, so I dont have a choice!. But oh well, I was just pointing out!

Thanks all.  the '8 player' mode = 'Head to Head' was the key I needed for understanding.  Now to figure out how to make the voice communication work.  I have my the key with the ~ character set for voice but there seems to be other things involved.  It will take me a while to get used to the 'inside cockpit only'.

There is an entire H2H community with it's forum a little way down the list in here.  Good group of people. It's called the Free Multiplayer forum.
