on several occasions the town has started to "pop" before my timer hits 45 min.
my question is how long do the buildings stay down for? i know it' can't be exactly 45. is it 44 min? 43.5 min?
pretty frustrating when you time your goon based on 45 min and find town popping before that.
it was "virgin town" when i started taking it down and i started my timer before the first bomb landed.
can anyone provide the exact time please? thanks
-
IIRC it is 45 "game time minutes" though I could be wrong. and IIRC the "game clock" it set to some kind of multiplier, you can change the settings offline, but I don't know what the MA is set to, I thought I heard once it was random so that the sun doesn't set at the same "time" every day.
I could be totally wrong with all these statements though.

I know the Help section says 45 minutes, but I think #s is right. It seems a lot shorter to me as well, maybe 20 minutes realtime, or thereabouts?
-
ok sorry "my bad"
i should have checked the accuracy of the timer on my brand new saitek x52.
it was slow to the tune of 1 min every 19 minutes damn it.
saitek will getting a very terse email from me right away.
$200.00 CND and they can't even make their stopwatch accurate.
sorry to have wasted anyone's time with this thread

I understand storch's remark here but to be fair, soupcan is not a toolshedder, at least not in that definition.
Soupcan plays mostly in the MW (that where i see 'em) and he ALWAYS flies on the country with the lowest #'s. He always stays to fight (and usually wins) and never runs for home. He doesn't HO, Ram or run. He is a class act and I don't think the moniker of "toolshedder" fits him.

I am home thundrlessnoeggs. are you guys really this dimwitted? I don't know repo but every time he's on the shacks tremble.

storch you can call me what ever name you like.
i don't care if you are anti base capture.
if the best you can do is mouth off about your disdain for
anyone who doesn't fit your pigeon hole style of play , it shows your
lack of maturity.
go take a nap storch, ya grumpy old banana. :D

I guess I catch him in different circumstances. I usually find soupcan by himself defending because he is on the low #'s team. I fly in looking for a fight and always find one with him.
There are times that he does attempt to take bases, and many times he is successful. My point is that he is not the typical toolshedder. He will stay and fight. He will return to attack a base that is defended. He will give you a big when you beat him (which for me is quite rarely). I didn't think he should be painted with the toolshedder brush.

LOL, someone just had an aneurism trying to spell out my handle.
Sorry, guys...off topic.

Getting it back on topic Soupcan. I have to say that when I attack a base I try to have more than one person, and I prefer to be in a gv. I know sometimes it cant be avoided, and sometimes its planned, but the best advice I can think of, is dont wait for 45minutes for the troops. Thats the best advice I can think of, and I don tmean to tread on your toes Soupcan. Hope to see how good a fighter you are soon, as havent had th eprivelage of meeting you yet! :aok Good luck with any further base captures.

I guess if bish always has the lowest numbers then I guess that statement is true.. Soupcan is a good player. he went 2 for one on me one night last tour. It was fun.
I share your frustration soupcan. It seems like after working so hard to take a base, just as troops arrive, the buildings start popping.

hi macleod!

I'm not sure this is already mentioned, but don't Airfield Supplies (from C-47's/M-3) shorten a base/town's downtime?

Darn, too late to delete my reply! :D
