Title: getting rid of messages on screen

How do I get rid of the messages on the screen while in the game.  They appear in a long rectangle and the rectangle is 'grayed'.

Example messages:

Host: you have crashed
Control mode 1 selected

There is no option to get rid of it. But you can expand or shrink it by using the ~ key on your keyboard.

Also if you click and hold it you can move it to a less conspicuos part of your screen.

also, in game settings you can go to GUI and change the alpha of the background to zero, then you only see text not the black rectangle.

That window is you chat text buffer by the way ;).

Note that voice might not be working in most 8Player rooms (has to do with router settings/brand).
