Title: lost updates switched to tcp

ok guys i know this has been done numerous apon numerous times before
but when i looked at the search function i got nothing that helped

ok i loose updates in all and i mean all arenas and so far it hasnt messed anything up really but in LOMAC playing with a few Ah squadies when we are sitting on the tarmac i cant see them move they cant see me move yada yada yada i can see missiles being fired and i can follow them but not other peoples planes i talked to dell and all the guy had me do was update my graphics cards and drivers i talked to my isp and he said that my connection was fine i changed my ethernet cord again nothing worked

do any of yall know what might be causing this?


P.S. sorry for no puncuation too mad to type well and i am stupid

LOMAC? Another game? Perhaps the question is better asked on their bulletin board. In Aces High the message switching from UDP to TCP means your connection sucks. In my experience with AH it also means I'll be back at the desktop shortly.

yeah i tried to edit the LOMAC part out but i was too late i just trust you AH player over strangers on the LOMAC board

well when i lose udp my frames drop and i am still able to play i just have no idea what is going on

Try figuring out which ports the server is located on, maybe opening them will help?

nick,

make sure that your firewall and antivirus (check router for firewall too!!! - it sometimes gets set back to default values with router resets) allows LOMAC. If you updated *either* of the three, you need to reallow the application for both UDP and TCP.



BTW, if you dont have UDP in AH, you cannot use Vox.

no i lose udp and everyone can here me on vox wierd :huh
