I've tried, oh how I've tried to search for this. The search tool here is absolute crap. No offense to anyone, but I get completely random hits with the most specific of searches on these forums.
ANYWAY.
There are never enough H2H servers running, so I figured I'll set my computer up as an FFA server.
So, I know there is some"period command" that I need to know so I can alter settings ect. Like, I always see hosts changing the time of day and everything.
Also, is there a cfg file that I need to edit with all the pertinant settings?
BENNY: if there is such a config file, I would appreciate it if you sent it to me because I like your config. Just post it on this thread if you can.
I want a Max Realism room, so if any more you you guys have such configs, please post them.

I had no trouble finding some instructions how to setup a host: http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=157639 (http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=157639).
About the arena settings, they can all be done via the clipboard, so there's no need to learn the dot commands - although they make it faster to change the settings. IIRC they were explained somewhere in the help section of HTC's site.

I found that as well. As far as I can tell that only concerns network issues, of which I have zero.
You cannot edit anything from that clipboard menu. I am talking FFA/Teams (which Benny told me once is something that must be set up before the server is running). You can't choose wind direction/speed, stall limiter on/off ect ect ect etc. That is all the stuff I want man, not just what map and what name to call my server.

When your map has loaded, click Options/Arena Setup/Environment.
Arena Settings for Stall limiter, killshooter ect.
Wind for...eeeehhh... wind ;)
and so on...

Oh, then the help for that can be found under HTC's help pages, http://www.hitechcreations.com/frameset1.html?ahhelp/index.html - scroll down where it says "Configuring an Arena".
And you should be able to edit almost everything under the arena settings in game.
