Title: L.T.A.R.'s
Post by: 68Boomer on March 07, 2007, 12:19:12 AM
Over the past few months, I have often chuckled over the statement, "They,(LTAR's), taste like chicken".

Personally......I think they taste like Rattlesnake.

Point being, just like a Rattlesnake, they lay in wait and if your not careful, they bite you big time. I have often felt the bite myself and while I don't get upset, I am sure there are those that do get upset.

All I am gonna say about it is the L.T.A.R.'s add a model of realism to the game. I have fun trying to flatten VH hangers, while dodging their bullets. For me, it just adds to the fun of the game.

L.T.A.R.'s.......It's fun going head to head with you. (and I lose quite often)

While I don't agree with them on all facets of gameplay, one of the few groups in AH I have much respect for. Probably because they don't say what they think of us, but whatever. Same result.

Got to agree here...have never understood the ch 200 bashing of this fine squad...besides frustration at their gunnery skilz!

Ltars....hope the Pain Train is always on a friendly runway:aok

Personally, I have a love hate relationship with the LTARs.  As an opponent, I love them.  They are tough in GV's and not too bad in the air.  I hate the fact they took me 4/9 last tour :cry

LTAR's (wish they were nits...)

In the past when the LTAR's were knight I found them good people to fly/fight with. Now they are not knight I find them honorable foes.

They play hard, they hit hard, but they keep it between the lines, up front, in your face. Can't ask for much more than that.

Ltars! Looks like your getting some much deserved recognition.

LTAR is a great squad, and a fine example for others to follow.

The LTARS are a very outstanding squad. They employ great teamwork and skill to their tank fights, base captures, and especially anti-aircraft.
I always manage to catch a 37 mil in one of my wings from them :D

Salute Boomer, the 68th, and everyone else here.  Appreciate the kind words.  It's always enjoyable (fun) to work with, or fight against, those that have posted here (and many of those whom have not).

As for the 200 LTAR bashing........he he, it's all good.  I would be more worried if the bashing stopped.........means someone isn't doing their job :D

Salute

I like them so much that whenever I see them defending a base I just have to give them a 1,000 pound gift.

Problem is, they never appreciate it. Not once have I gotten a thank you from any of them after delivering my gift, but that's never going to deter me from trying since I'm such a giving person.

LOL Flatbar, Bro always a pleasure.

I'm always amazed, & impressed, by some of the dive bombing skills out there.  There's times, from my osti, I've watched as someone dives in, knowing what's to follow.........and then they miss by "that much".  Then there are others, OMG, ya can't hardly see the con they're so far up, ya see em pull up (still far away), and all of a sudden :O  you know..........starts grabbin for steel pot.  Never once getting close enough for me to get a shot off.

In my book..........that's skill :aok

When it's in close and personal..................50 / 50 chance, sometimes both go down.

He he, fly by me without seeing me..........................w ell lets just say I'm just as friendly as Flatbar, just cheaper (lol) I'll only send ya a 2 pound box of candy :D , one box at a time.

Salute.

I like that I havent found them milkrunning & switching targets when defense arrives, in a long time. I have always known them to be exceptional at base defense in GVs, and I always thoroughly enjoy finding them in aircraft. LTARs

Thank you friend and foe

I know the game wouldn't be the same if we wern't here and it surely wouldn't be the same without all of you here.

I appreciate all of your company, it's one of the main reasons after all these years were still here!
(cept for hubs, he's just plain weird)

Thank You gentlemen

goob (gôôb) - noun, diminutive form of "goober."
goo•ber  (gôô'bər)
noun South Midland and Southern U.S.
1. The peanut.  Also called a “goober pea.”
2.  U.S. Television:  Gomer Pyle’s cousin in the Sitcom “Gomer Pyle, USMC.”  The character Goober was kind and good natured but was also somewhat lacking in intelligence.
3.  slang:  A dim witted but well meaning person.  Origin:  “Brain the size of a goober.”  See also 2.
Ex.  “He tried to help me off the frozen lake, but ended up falling in himself, the poor goob.”
4.  LTARkilz colloquialism:  Referring to anyone of greater relative intellectual capacity, i.e. anyone who’s I.Q. exceeds 60.  Minimum requirement for “goob” status in “kilzspeak” is the appropriate use of capitalization, punctuation, and basic grammar, all of which are foreign to LTARkilz.
Ex.  "boomer is a goob hehehehe"
