Title: [ALT TAB] to DeskTop & AH crashes on the way back in...

Since v1.08 has been released I have been frustrated by this.  It never happened before, but happens every single time now.  My setting are the same and I play other online games that have remained unaffected..

--Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

--Is there a fix for this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mine doesn't crash, I get a totally white window that I can't close. But I can tab back out and close AH from the ALT+TAB+DEL box.

Raub, I used to get that when I had RW enabled within AH.  Now I run RW separate from AH and no more problems.

I get those problem with or without RW.
Could be related to Nvidia drivers, since i didn't have this problem in 1.08 with 6.5 version drivers but I do with the latest 21.XX versions.

but not sure.

No problems with running BattleCom server and client on same machine I am playing on.  Never had AH lock up like that but what I would suggest is this. Go back to the last known good version of the drivers for you.  Then install the next one and try AH again and so on until you get to the point where you have the lock ups. If nothing is happening then it is probably being caused by an external program like Ripsnort is thinking.

Will systematically remove and reinstall all drivers... Then look for the original versions and try again...  It's not RW related, I use it either way at different times with the same effect... But, my sound card has been acting a little funny... hmmm

BigMAX,

My puter does the same thing.  Locks up when coming back form desktop, with a grey screen.  Have you fixed your problem yet?  Did reloading drivers help???

Still having the same problem.... Have uninstalled & re-installed everything...  RW is not an issue, does it with or without it loaded...  No other game or program does it - Just ACES HIGH...

BigMax, I get something similiar. If I hold the alt key down for just a second after pressing the tab key (after the app has switched), then release the alt key, it works fine but if I do the usual alt tab (quick key presses), it crashes every time.

I have the same problems that Raubvogel has.  Maybe I will try Apache's trick.
