Title: addendum to note to self, 03/07/07
Post by: moot on March 07, 2007, 04:19:16 AM
Don't be a nice guy around *******s, securing yourself in the thought that everyone knows you're not an *******, and that if an ******* talks **** to you and you just let it slide with a calm disposition, you will share guilt in having let the poor animal get roused and punch you several times in a row.

Especially if you're a youngster and he's a step father to your certifiable mother.

The only consolation is that you're not a pansy and the bulges on your face don't really hurt.  You also stayed calm and kept the brass knuckle in your pocket.
Bonus points if your little brother who you've worked into weighing more than you over the past year also kept his cool and pitied the poor mindless prole.

Glad you're ok 88.

As a follow up to my "accident" I received a letter from a lawfirm that my insurance company has secured to sue the drunk stripper for the losses they incured because of her stupidity.  They're also going after my deductible.  I wish them luck.  I'm sure she'll be docked 10 bucks a paycheck for the rest of her life to pay back the loss.

And like they say, it always hurts the day after the wreck.  In my case it hurt the most 2 days later.  I am still in PT for my hand (the airbag deploying thrust my right hand into the aluminum billet Hurst T-handle on the shifter), I may eventually need surgery for it.

Right, like a stripper is paid anywhere near 10 dollars an hour.  However, good luck trying to get a hand on her tip money.

Laser did say "tip" right?  just checkin...

Glad you're ok 88,  when its safe :noid  pictures and a short narative, 500 words or less will be expected :D

funny, I got rear ended on Monday morning on the way to work.  I was much luckier though,  two small, tiny holes on the rear bumper cover and a little headache and stiff neck.

That you're OK is the important thing. Recovery is the fun part. I know days 2-3 were always the worst for me after a big crash. Concussions and soft tissue injuries take a while to soak in sometimes.

So what happened? Granny get all tanked up on Carlo Rossi and antidepressants after her SS check showed up and wanted to go gamble at the Indian casino in the Delta88?

thanks nirvana.  thanks everybody for the well wishes.  made my day.

no rpm, nothing like that...this was more like blind spots and dump trucks kinds of stuff.

but that would make for a good story...right up to the part where she got out of the car and punched me in the face with the empty bottle.

Looks like a gnarley crash Eskimo, but cars these days generally look worse then they actually are thanks to crumple zones, is he doing alright?

He’s fine.  He was a little bit sore the next day though.  He was a P-39/P-63 pilot and is still very sharp and pretty tough.  He was probably going less than 10 mph and the other car was going about 25.  They met bumper to bumper at 90 degrees.

Ermm well you know my 'auntie', she now works as bar staff at a local strip club (there are 3 in our tiny town). Being the curious sort I asked a lot about the runnings of said place.

She herself has earn't ~NZ$300 (about $210US) in one night in tips (on top of her hourly rate), and she isn't a stripper nor does she go topless there or anything. The top tips earning for a stripper there in one night is ~$2500 (~$2000US). An average good night a stripper will pull in around US$400. This does not include lap dance earnings. There is also absolutely no sexual acts involved either - as there is a brothel upstairs for that (its legal here) - the owners don't want to give away anything that could be paid for :)

Oh, and these strippers are OK... but nothing glamorous or anything.

nope.  rode the ambulance tho.  was totally pissed that my cell phone didnt have enough charge to take a self portrait snap with my head strapped down to the board.   heh.

really, its not as bad as it could have been.  not even close.  this was one of those coming straight at you very fast on the highway kind of moments and i am beyond blessed to be able to chew food on my own right now much less talk about it.  no broken bones, no cuts, just lots and lots o banged up spots where once there were none.  (and no...i wasnt drinking)

the worse pain is actually where the seat belt rushed at my body at full speed...breathing hurts a bit but laughing sucks so i am avoiding any of the current political threads around here.

moral of the story?

yay seat belts and air bags!  the people in the other car were wearing theirs too and they hit me straight on before spinning out of control, running into another car and going down an embankment i am told.

in the end...no one seriously injured.

i will be back to working on my feet again by monday; or so i have determined.

i was talking with mrs. 88 about the great responses on well wishes on this thread and it occurs to me how blessed i am to know all of you and to recieve  all of this from an extended family that i have never even met.

makes me glad i've stuck around.  i am fortunate to know all of you.

(and life goes on.....)
