Title: Aircraft development
Post by: BlueJ1 on March 09, 2007, 11:34:20 AM
Ive heard rumors that the Navy and other armed forces will be receiving the F-35 Lightning. Can anyone fill me in on the subject, or atleast the rumors they've heard?

It looks alot like the F-22 in my opinion.

Yes the navy will be getting the carrier version of the F35.  As far as I know the AC itself is still under developmental testing and not under actual production yet.

Last I heard it won't reach service till 2010 or so.
