Hello All,
since I updated my system to directx 7.0a - all hardware accelerated games freeze my computer :-(.
I have a Win98, Creative 3D Blaster TNT, directx 7.0a, newest NVDIA Driver (tried Creative driver also) on a Compaq Presario 5547.
Any hints for me??
Thank you in advance.
Yours,
Woo.

You might want to try reloading your video (and even your sound) drivers and see if that helps.

I have the Creative GeForce, but the Creative drivers give me problems at times, so I use the Det 3.90 drivers from www.reactorcritical.com (http://www.reactorcritical.com) . Just a note on the correct installation for these or any video driver, is to first install VGS or SVGA drivers, restart PC, then install the driver you want, and answer No to do you want to keep newer blah blah driver.

Did you use the DirectX update or the full install? If you did the update, you might want to try the full version. I seem to recall some people having problems from the DirectX update.
