Title: Spitfire XIV changes...

Clip the wings, add a bubble canopy. I'd never play any other game.

Keep the current one we have, and make this one cost more perks.

Now to sit back and wait for the "interesting" replies sure to come.

Why not add the A-10?   Turns tight and would be l337 in the HO, Jabo, and would garner anywhere from 10-12 kills with just the GAU-8/A.

We have enough spits, bring on the IAR-81c.   The Spit14 is a steaming pile of cow dung.

I'd rather they add the Mk XII.

Clipping the wings on the Mk XIV  would hamper high alt performance a tad.

As to the bubble top ehh, I'd atleast like to see the malcom hood.

Pile of cow dung? I do quite well in it, not that it's all that hard.

The XII might be interesting.

Most combat I have seen is around 10k feet down to the deck, so performance at 25k feet to 30k feet, to be perfectly honest, isn't all that important to me.

However, I didn't suggest that we remove the current XIV. Just use its model as the basis for an LF XIV, and make it cost more.

Exatly why I'd rather have the Mk XII added rather than changing the Mk XIV..

The Mk XII is low alt, so no confusion.

Edit: IMHO the Mk XII looks like a match made in heaven for AH type fights.

I do like the idea of retaining the 4x 303s, for some reason I just can't get used to the XIV and the XVI's .50s.

also low speed performance.  Those clipped wings come at a price, just like they do in the XVI.
