Title: Very wierd problem, need help
Post by: SwampRat on January 01, 2001, 11:07:00 PM
Ok, anyone know what this is and why I get it?  Been on AH now about a month and have never had any problem at all.  Today, I got to start the game and it sends me directly to the video setup screen, where I leave it as is (as was), click ok and I get this wierd memory problem thing

the instruction at "0x0041e506" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written"  Click ok to terminate the program

I'm lost.  have done a complete reinstall of AH, with no luck.  Reinstalled DX8 too

Win2000
PIII 800 (had overclocked..to 900 but backed off and tried 800 no luck)
256mg PC-100 Ram
GeForce 256 DDR 32mg (Leadtek)

Only thing I've done "different" since I last signed on to AH (last night) was got Netmeeting up and running with WebCam for family to use.
Please Help

Sounds like a memory conflict at that position. Your net meeting may be addressing that memory site and won't let it go.

Try looking at the memory slots the net meeting is using.

Ooo..I just remembered.  I had already had Netmeeting installed and running before but I did install Vocaltek Internet phone.  Would uninstalling that possibly take care of the problem (granted thats what it is?)
