After I discovered Kev367th’s beautiful Norwegian Spit XVI skin I’m now a reformed Luftwobble, and a reborn Spitdweeb. Who’da thunk it?! :)

The only thing that appeals to me about Spitfires is their climb rates, but as the Bf.109s do it as well or better, I have no reason to fly the Spitfires other than for the occasional shats and giggles. :D

Seeing skins like that is sometimes a real discouragement to other amateuer skinners like me.

Quintv, I've considered the Corsair, but ... it ... it's BLUE! And it climbs like a navy anchor. Being an old 109 driver you can understand my reluctance to convert to a plane that barely manages half the climb rate I’m used to (-4 excepted of course, but it's perked).

Whenever possible, if I up a spit I pick the pink one out of simple self mockery.



But what's so wrong with blue anyway? Don't go dissing the corsairs, sweet birds and murderous if you handle them right

I'm a climb rate junkie as well, I'm still in recovery. In most sims I fly the 109s and in this one I like the G14 and K4 in large part because of their fantastic climb.

This game has autoclimb though so its much easier to deal with where as in wwiiol I would actually have to sit their and climb all the way up manually (trim aided, but its never steady).

I've taken an interest in American planes lately after being a long time Loosewaffle so I've all but given up on fantastic climb rates lol, and I don't think HT is modeling the F8F Bearcat anytime soon. :D

The original image posted by Viking is one of the best spit16 skins there is. It's my favorite, due to the colorful nature. I also like one other skin for that bird, as well.
