Title: Moving Pilots
Post by: Speed55 on March 13, 2007, 02:38:59 PM
It probably has been requested before, and no i didn't search this time.

I think it would be really cool if when your in a close up crazy angles fight with someone, you could see him looking over the seat at you, or moving around in the pit to keep his eyes on you.

Or maybe change some of the faces?

I think i'd look like this if someone was going to kill me.

as opposed to this.

I actually never read a thread about head-movement in the planes, IMO it would be great :)

I just want to know what kind of crazy-arse super-computer with 90" monitor you're using to be able to see that.

What part of Charleston do you live in?  I'm about two miles from the fair grounds.

Wow that one looks nice, you must know what you're doing!

I haven't heard of De Lier before though (but might just be me, Holland is a large countr....never mind, it is me)

EDIT: de Lier means 'the winch' :)

Does it give you a hard on to look at peoples faces as they drive past you at 50 MPH in your car????  If not, I doubt this will either...

Yeah, I'm not sure I 'get' the original question.  When I get close enough to an NME plane so that it's larger than 20 pixels, I'm angling for a shot, couldn't care less which way that pilot's looking.

I did have a really beautiful female drive by me the other day, and although i didn't get a hard on, imagining what she'd look like going down on me, i did get a chub... but that's besides the point.

Back to the WISH, in this WISHLIST.

So let me put it this way, as one possibility.

I'm in a dog fight, angling for the shot.

If i can see the enemy pilot in the pit trying to track me,  I know from where he's looking that he can't see me. I then will move my plane into a position to keep it that way, angle in, and take him out.

If they were moving in the pit, being able to see the enemies facial expression would be cool, especially when you review the film and want to take screen shots, or make movies.

I don't know what kind of  frame rate hit this would cause, since i just play the game, and don't program it. If there was a significant hit, then an option to disable it would be cool.

EDIT: maybe it would only activate when within d200.

Sorry the first post was so vague.

Not to be pedantic, but the best way to find out where the blind spot are on any particular plane is to fly it and see for yourself.
