There is no excuse for getting frostbite in this day and age. Looks like a case of the five P's.

The temperature in the tent was recorded as minus 58 degrees. That's global warming for you. It should have been minus 70.

Maybe the headline should be: 'Global warming claims another victim'.:lol

As I stated in a previous thread about global warming, it's advocates have covered all the bases:  if the climate warms up, they are proven right;  if the climate cools, that only means that they are right in a totally unexpected, yet not unforeseen way.

like the few degree difference possibly caused by global warming is going to make a  difference in survivability that far north in march.


and what kind of global warming study goes to the arctic while its still winter anyway? it serves there purpose far better to go in the height of summer...

Why were they going that way with a tent? The North Pole has been crossed by ship!
(BTW, the NW passage has recently been crossable without an icebreaker, at times of the year unheard of)
