I've seen it. Excellent program, though a little cheesy at times with their music a graphics. On the otherhand, it nicely brings together all the counter evidence against man-made global warming. I believe the cheesy parts were to make people realize how silly and weak some of the so-called evidence supporting man-made global warming really is. Even if you're skeptical of the skeptics, this is a must-see as a counter-balance to Gore's propaganda piece. If our schools really want to teach our kids to think critically (which I doubt, given the liberal control over public education), they should show Gore's movie and this one back to back, then encourage open discussion and debate. Of course, we can't even get that from our elected representatives or Academia, so why should we expect it of public education?:furious

I love the part about the UN IPCC removing the parts of their report on global warming that talked about lack of evidence and the scientist had to threaten to sue to get his name off it since it removed his section.
Paul Moore is great as well.

Both sides of the issue are into a full PR mode. Science has taken a back seat to unsubstantiated statements, talking points, and sound bites. Curious as to who PAID to put this one together. No pure science on EITHER side any more. All politics.

- Yes, particularly the Precambrian period, 4.5 billion years ago to about 570 million years ago. No oxygen producing life in great numbers. No life in great numbers for that matter, beyond single cell organisms. Out gassing and impactors from volcanoes and comets creating oceans, seas, and early, mostly CO2, atmosphere. Much less solar output much of the time too.

- ah... so a Earth getting warmer is now a 'Good Thing'. Never mind that the world's population is far higher now than then, and concentrated along the world's coast lines. That we're not primarily an agrarian society.
At least there is nothing I saw that claimed that the Earth wasn't getting warmer. I guess that claim is too hard to sell these days.

So: short story = Earth is getting warmer (but not as bad as some claim), but it's not our fault, so there is no need to worry about anything. Carbon dioxide is good. A warmer Earth is a good thing. Don't worry, be happy. Ergo, no reason to do anything about anything.
Curious: Do those who argue against global warming and taking preventative measures also dispute the warnings about the coming Oil Shock due to decreasing primary energy reserves and the argument that we need to develop alternative energy sources?
I'll just take the stance I did for Y2K. Keep my powder dry and be prepared to go all barbarian if it becomes the best course to follow.

ofcourse was the earth warmer in the past, what different today is
the rapid speed it changed the last few years, this never happend
before.

but... it has changed just as rapidly in the past... even the recent past.. it has gone colder from the 1940's to the 1970's in a very rapid fashion. also blamed on man...
Watch the show.. the scientists who are on it are all heads of their fields... the guy explaining the left wing agenda is a former founder of greenpeace.. the guy explaining the UK's position is the former energy head of england under thatcher...
the guy explaing the nasa data is head of climate research at nasa...
The things taken out of the UN report were the things that said no one could link Co2 or man with the increase in temp...

The documentary explains why. Most of the scientists who sign on to global warming are either frauds or have had their names used without permission.

tedbr.. not one of your arguements makes sense. How do you explain that the earth cools and the earth warms... and in warm periods we have more prosperity? Cool periods are really dark ages with famine and reccession.
I just listen to both the algore one and this one and algore seems so dishonest and unscientific... I listen to algore talk about the receeding ice and then I watch the jap scientist who is the formost expert in the field say that it is perfectly normal and happens all the time.
I hear the shrill... I see the commie lefties out protesting... I think.. they want us to live like cavemen. They are simply looking for a cause to further socialism now that the great hope soviet union is ashes.

think about .. how many BTU's those furry little whatevers must put out to keep from freezing to death!
back when everyone was clubbing the seals the earth was cooler.. now that they are reproducing unchecked ... the great white north is virtually being overrun by fuzzy little space heaters AND surprise surprise.. the earths temperature is rising!!!
I'm sure infrared satellite photos would really open your eyes to the problem..nay the disaster that is occurring while we sit on our hands and do nothing!

Saw it two weeks ago legitimately on British television. That's British television by the way. Funny how the great non-socialist US media hasn't the balls to do it!
As for the documentary, if you strip away the hyperbole it's quite a good distillation of the counter arguments. I have a scientific background, and the dogmatic nature of the discussion is a little unnerving. At least this documentary tries to redress the balance.
