Title: That was fun :)
Post by: ROC on March 16, 2007, 11:37:11 PM
I think we allies might have gotten our butts kicked, but who cares!

Our flight of B24s went for the Refinery.

Nice flight, good movie, fine flight attendants.

Then, we get over this nasty little island and the sky turned RED.

That was Freaking Intense, just an absolute Blast.

Nice job all!  Some one picked up 15 sheep from my pelt.

ROC should be stripped of all Sheep privs, only New Zealand has more sheep than the amount ROC gives away.

and don't award my sheep , maybe half, I got tagged very end after killin #2 didn't see him but he did not kill me, I landed on a farm in the heart of Italy, and lucky me it was Prince spaghetti night. And the farmer has identical 18 year old female triplet virgins, who are smokin hot once ya get past the hair. So not in need of rescue quite yet, but a razor or two would be appreciated. It's great to be an American.

to all, good fun.  The FSO squads rock as every week it seems to get better and better.

One night for kicks, all FSO squads should launch together on the same side in one arena, Imagine the carnage, reset in 20 minutes lol.

Learnt some valuable lessons tonight;

When diving from 40,000 feet you compress very quickly - I was 20 miles from the fight before I regained control.

Going nose to nose with a 262 once is ok. Going twice is, ummmm, ok. Going three tmes is really pushing your luck to the limit and you deserve to have your plane chopped in half.

Had fun, as always. .

Well, I was going to make a seperate post, but here will do...

I want to thank all the Axis and Allied for an excellent fight.  That was one of the most hard fought FSO I can remember.  I'm very much looking forward to seeing the logs.

Thank you doobs for your hard work as my opponent, it was an honor, and you fight like a dirty scoundrel, should you ever need a new squad, you are just the type we seek! :aok

Thanks again to everyone, I couldn't have asked more from my Axis squads, and the only thing I could have asked of the Allies would be to just form up into the line of bombers I was expecting!

Well done all!

WHAT A BLAST!!!  How do you wrap up a FSO with anything less the a fight like that?

WTG AP!  The plane sets were dead on.  262's and a fair fight is nothing short of amazing!

You are correct, we drilled the sheets, were not used to droppin with no resistance, took all the pressure off, and we banged the pooch.

JG44 debeifing is underway, and we will not spare the lubricant.

It was all in my evil plan...

Let doobs make his approach and drop, he won't hit a thing.

Don't forget, we were the Krauts... We had electromagnetic bomb diverting devices all over the place, they pull your bombs toward things like... well... your resupply trains for instance.... yeah...

We're evil because we're axis... yeah....  get used to it.(/end Peter Griffin Voice)

Several of us were miffed that some folks dropped a bomb on finding the bombers before they were right upon the fuel factory. Even then the folks that did find them, and were engaged, weren't REPORTING them. None of the rest of us knew what was going on.

Oh well. I had 4 b24s pretty much out-run my Me262 at altitudes that the bomber could barely reach in real life, due to its flexible wing and fueselage. Landed 4 different attack hits on a single B-24, saw 30mm hit sprites every time, never saw any damage (except first hit, which took off 1 elev). Then take a SINGLE ping, lose oil. Let's just say some of us were not very pleased at all.

But don't worry, we'll be back next time.

First off, my instructions to all, take less medication and alcohol and more than 1/2 a tank of gas in your pony.

Second, BLBird, I wasn't aiming at you. That Red sky we were in caused a brilliantly choreographed sideshow on my end and you happened to be the bomber groups behind MGD. I'm very sorry.

MDG and gang. Oh my, that was intense. You even got my wife to watch. And that is sayin something.

to an excellent FSO!

:aok

Well, Doobs, lucky for I just looked back to check 6 for 2 secs and when I looked back in front u went up to the left of me.  U timed it perfect on when to make the move, lol.  I banked hard left and wing stalled it right into the ground.  Good flying.

There I was at 35,000 feet wondering if I was ever going to see a 109 up close like, when all of a sudden the sky filled with contacts in every direction...  109's!  190's! And 262's thrown in, just to make it a fair fight.   Through skill, daring and just plane (get it) luck, my trusty Pony and I managed to get 50+ 190's surrounded at 30,000 feet.  To say that it was "intense" is an understatement.  I haven't had that much fun in a frame in a long while.  Keep up the great work!  I you all!

WTG Axis! We had some fun. I just wish I would have remembered to turn off the ground vis sooner so I could see the dots that were P51's coming up on my poor little 109G! :(  My squaddie called em out, but I was like looking back all over and didn't see Skygnome! :furious Sir!

I think a bomber set my oil leaking, not a fighter. I got HOed a couple times after I lost oil, as I was "sorta" heading home, but it wasn't a p51 that started me leaking, from memory.

Granted Krusty, but it wasn't just one ping that took your oil then was it? Those hits from me showed 2 in you left engine (yes, I was HOing =) always do with 262's) already.

Not meaning to sound confrontational or obtuse at all, but how many bullets into your engine do you expect to take before it started venting vital fluids?

It's like pilot wounds. I often hear "You PW'd me with one ping!", I'm sat behind my computer thinking "How many bullets does he expect to bounce off of his pilot before they start hurting?"

TinmanX,
"It's like pilot wounds. I often hear "You PW'd me with one ping!", I'm sat behind my computer thinking "How many bullets does he expect to bounce off of his pilot before they start hurting?" "

I would hazard a guess that most would answer "ALL" :D
