You have to map the command "Weapon Secondary Select" to a key.  Once you select the secondary weapon, you can then fire it.  It will show you what weapon you have selected in the cockpit of the plane.

Furby, the command used to be mapped to the backspace key.  It is no longer mapped to anything.

Skuzzy, back when the new joystick mapping code came out a lot of things lost default binds.

Any word on why? secondary select, fire all, fire primary, fire secondary, all got unmapped. I recall, because at the time I had to go in and map it. I did report on the forums that this happened, as well.

I'm curious why you can't just set them back as defaults, the way they were before. Was this a decision, or are y'all just busy with other things?

Are you sure about the backspace key, Skuzzy?

Backspace was automagically mapped to cycle weapons on my system.

I know it wasn't a carry over from a previous install, since it was a fresh new PC (and I haven't had AH installed on any of my PC's for about the past 5 years anyway).

Odd. Each time a noob asks "how to fire my rockets/ bombs/ drop tank" my answer is "Backspace to select them, fire with B". No one complained yet that Backspace does not work...

ditto.

I'll do a clean install on my other computer this evening and see what happens.

Well back when it came out I did an upgrade install, and it didn't carry over. I did a fresh install (forgot why) after that, and it didn't have it by default. Then I did a fresh install when I got my new motherboard (reformatted) and it didn't do it then. So as of about 4 months ago it wasn't doing it. If it's been remedied since then, I don't know.
