I think you can tell alot about a person from his favorite hobby.
Mine is scuba diving. I've always been interested in marine biology and ichthyology (the study of fish). As a diver with a bit of free time (and a bit of expendable cash), I've gotten to see some very interesting things underwater.
The highlights of my dive career have been :
-Seeing a school of baitfish devoured by marauding bonefish,
-Swimming through massive coral formations off the coast of Cozumel,
-Seeing a pair of state record sunfish guarding a nest at a no-fish quarry
-Finding the largest freshwater mussel I've ever seen (about 9 inches wide)
-Seeing the immense amount of stingrays that live right off shore of Panama City, FL.

Sailing fast boats. What does that say about me?
-
It says that you like competition, you enjoy the human-machine interface of racing machines, and that you are comfortable on the ocean.
-
you race sailboats..... and you should go to hell
hahaha jk bro

I don't recognize those fish. Are those the Golden Trout that Chuck Yeager was always blathering about?

Sailing and freediving.

Shrimpy (Is it okay that I call you what the ladies call you? :p )
They're what I call "Fresh water Cod", formally known as Walleye Pike.
I love bass fishing too, but we throw them back.

.
Sure, you can call me that. Its one of those ironic nicknames, like calling a fat-guy "slim".

My favorite hobby of all time has been Hobbys.
I love to do different things. Right now it's riding my Harley, playing with my Mustang and taking pictures of everything.

Are you in porn? :)

Ever since I was a wee little child, I absolutely love model railroading and full size railroads too
-
If you would've asked that question 3 years ago, I would've said that my two favorite hobbies were skydiving, and spending the day on the shooting range. Now, the answer would be spending time with my son, without a doubt. Not sure what any of those things say about me.

wanking.
That's every man's favourite hobby!

My hobbies used to be making model kits and figures, riding motorcycles, flying, working as an extra on TV and movies, playing computer games and AH, photography, following motorsport, collecting something or other and one or two other activities. Now I wonder where I found the time. I used to be on the go seven days a week. Partly just lost interest and partly got married and had a child.
I still fly, but that's no longer a hobby. I still think I do some of the others but I'm only fooling myself.

Yes your mustang sir... I really wanted to steal it tonight and leave you with the truck full of trash
Hobbys are AH, remodeling my house, collecting Hawaiian shirts, and airsoft with the neighborhood kids.

It's over.
Coaching my son's baseball teams. I coached and managed his teams for 10 years. Now he's on the HS Freshman team.
Hmm, I've been playing online flight sims for 10 years, too.
Hellrazr, the best time will be the windshield time before and after practices and games. Coach him. You don't need to know the sport. I never played baseball. I started with the idea I had to know more baseball than a 5 year old. I learned enough to keep at least a year ahead of the kids.
Dammit, now I know baseball and no kids to coach.
He still lets me coach his hitting when I take him to a batting cage.
HONK!

I'm trying to keep up, not always succeeding, but the fun part is trying!

Surfing.
Nothing huge, something like regular six-foot sets in 84-degree air and ocean, perfect glassy translucent blue-green salt water over a forgiving bottom with no hostile critters from sea or shore.

Like the Hawaiian shirt thing too, have several and keep buying more. It was great meeting you guys this evening.
BTW, Dichotomy and his beautiful significant other is a great example of the really nice people you can meet in AH :aok

I raced Motorcycles most of my life, retired from racing in 1995. I also worked in heavy Asphalt Paving . I am fully retired .
AcesHigh is a hobby, I also have collected stamps since I was a kid.
I found retirement boring, so my wife and I
started up the Streetrod hobby about 7 years ago .
I have two streetrods , that keep me busy. One of them is a 1932 Ford Hi-boy roadster and the other is a 1932 Ford Hi-Boy 3 Window Deuce Coupe ....known as Purple Haze.....
You can have a look at the Deuce Coupe on the link here....
