Well, all other contentenders it seems has one, so heres one for the long awaited for HE 111. Show your support!
-
Alright
-
Definitely needed for events, the AvA and the EWA/MWA. The lack of the He-111 has been a glaring hole in the AH stable of aircraft for a long time. It has my vote.
Cheers,
asw

BOB cannon fodder - yes, yes, yes.
-
Can't have a proper BOB without it.
Gets my vote!
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.
-
Want He111. Show my support? Dont have man-boobs sorry no support.
-
I'll support it.
-
can we get a late one with th v1 hanging under neath it:rolleyes:
-
Bump! Yes for the 111
-
Yip
-
Id like both the He 111 and the Do17.
-
Like the sherman tank it should have been here a long time ago,you have my support.:)
-
What is the advantage of the 111 over the ju 88? Im not very familiar with the Heinkle.
-
not much advantage really, but as far as I know, its more heavily armed. But It would be a major addition, Even IL2 has it! BoB isnt the same without it
-
HE-111 and Do-17z all the way!
-
While I've been a major fan of the He111 for some time, and even requested it myself a few times, I feel it has 100% chance of getting into this game. Eventually. With the 410 and the G.55 on the table, I think I have to vote for one of them, because if we don't get 'em now, we may never. He111 would be grand, definitely, but we'll get it eventually :)
-
Krusty, shut up and go away! :p This is for SUPPORTERS! Not for your italian planes that only reverse, or anti Aircraft batteries on wings! :p :D
-
I'm down with you on the He-111.
Now throw in a Ju-52 and we will be getting somewhere!
David
-
I'd like to see th He-111 as well. I'm just not sure if I want it now. :)
-
I will support it if it's chosen.
I have a wonderful resource, back from when I started super-detailing the Roden 1:72nd He111E-1 model kit. I found an old group build webpage with some great details on the interior.
The interior didn't change behind the cocpit, after the glass nose was changed, so these could all be very useful for building the 3D model and interior.
[EDIT: Well, it changed in that they added the ventral gondola, that's not in these photos.]
http://109lair.hobbyvista.com/111/lounge111.htm
Note the interior and exterior details links. Has some nice stuff. Also the photos have some nice close-ups of the nose and engines areas. Granted these would both have changed by the He111H model (that AH would probably get).
-
We all know you want the .55 though! Or the 410. Bah. Rock on HE 111!
Btw Krusty, check Inbox
-
Got my Vote for HE-111
-
ROCK ON HE 111!
-
id rather see the dornier but a 111 aint bad either...
-
AHHHH Second page! Must not let people beat us! Bring the He 111! Lets go...
"THUMP"
enemy bases! :D
-
It would seem to plug a gap. I'm for it.
-
id like to see it although it will be shot down more times then ju88s,we have a origonal German verson in the musium at hendon the one with the german engines not the spanish merlins.
Lets have it could do with something different to fly
-
All for it for a few reasons -
It's not yet another late war bird.
Needed for BoB scenario.
In fact needed for scenarios.
LW / MW planesets need fleshing out badly

This would be wonderful indeed. My guess is one day the total plane sets will be available for just about any period.

But will it? I have an Airfix model at home of an HE 111 (I know its probarbly all wrong, but hey im using it as its th eonly source of insperation). Didnt it have a Ventral gun, a top turret, a nose gun and left and right Fusalage guns? It gives it a wider arc of fire than the 88's whic id just behind and below 6. I think it would be able to defend itself better. Like I said, I may be wrong
-
Depends on the version. There were a lot of modifications for the He111H. One of the more common had a 7mm flex mounted in the nose, a 7mm flex mounted in the dorsal position, a 7mm flex mounted in the rear ventral, and depending on the version an MG/FF flex-mounted in the forward ventral (the guy in the gondola would operate either gun as needed), but its arc was somewhat limited.
I know some had the side guns, but I think they were often removed because they weren't effective (firing through tiny windows). I don't know the specifics of that bit of info.
-
More guns thn the 88 anyway. May be able to defend itself better
-
yep to the he111.. but any ETO MTO axis bomber would be a step in the right direction as far as balance gos..
-
Well, the Ju88's guns can all fire rearward, the He111's setup is usually regarded as lighter than the Ju88. One of the most common setups just had 3 7mm guns, to the Ju88s 4 guns, plus the rear ventral on the 88 is a twin mount (more damage).
I think all in all, it will be more vulnerable to enemy attack than the Ju88.
I think, however, that it will make up for this fact in sheer "cool" power. Hell, lack of guns doesn't stop folks from rolling Bostons, does it? :P
-
lol, true. The HE 111 was a devestating weapon if used right. I think its going to give another multi purpose bomber, cv hunter, plus even spotter plane with the glass nose. Would make it easy to spot gvs if flown low.
-
I would love to see the HE-111 in this game. I know it will be lightly defended, but then again, that doesnt stop me from upping Stukas either.
-
I just can't wait to see that whole glass nosed cockpit. I was hopping we could have a perk load on the He-111. TheHs-293 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henschel_Hs_293). I had an idea on how it could be controled. In RL you had to stay in a straight path to guide it. In AH you would use your bomb view (F6) and you would guide the missile with your cross hairs. You would still have to fly kinda straight like in RL because your in the bomb view. The way you would aim it, is by the computer. Right now in AH you can click on your clipboard and get an altitude of a base, and then calibrate for speed. Will with the guided Hs-293 perk ordance, the guidence would have these settings. Would have have to bring up the clipboard and click your target. If it was a ship then you click the water, and if it was a base you your click the base. To set the target you would have to be closely flying in the right direction. You would hit U then guide your cross hairs to your target and hold Y for 2seconds. Then it bring up this information. Will something like this.
Altitude of target: 0ft
Altitude of rocket: 7,523ft
Range from target: 7.3K
Fuel Remaining: 20 seconds
Heading of target: 005
Heading of rocket: 005
Speed of rocket: 390mph
With these settings you would have to look at these readings to guide your rocket into maybe a CV or Ammo bunker. These rockets were used against ships. Another site. Hs-293 Other Site (http://www.walter-rockets.i12.com/missiles/hs293b.htm)

Got my vote!!! BoB needs this bird and the Do17 rather badly :)
:aok
-
He-111 if I get a second vote It'll go towards the P-39
-
Yes, sorely needed an HE-111 for some time. My second vote is torn between B-25 and P-39, though.
-
it will get my vote as long as the a26 isn't still in
-
Who has voted for the He-111? I'm a freeloader so I can't vote :( This would be the plane I vote for.
-
He111 would not hurt my feelings at all.
-
Got my vote for tonight!
