Title: MIT sketching simulation tool
Post by: Krusher on March 23, 2007, 10:50:02 AM
Below is a link to a youtube video of a sketching tool developed at MIT. It shows how a computer can read a sketch and run the drawing as a simultation.

I was thinking about my limited programing skills and how a tool like this could save time.

Wow....the first thing I thought when he was drawing the spring-loaded cup was that it was too far/too high up.  You would think someone from MIT would notice that right off the bat....but really this is amazing I predict this on the Wii next year :)

Maybe it was that first cart with the two wheels and axles side by side, but I couldn't help wondering about the "Bathroom Stall" mod where you could draw two dirty pictures then hit the action button :)

Amazing technology but I bet it wouldn't be easy to go beyond the current physics programming base. Still, looking at the future...
