Don't want to create a problem, but would appreciate a response from at HiTech. With the new update pending, I've got to ask if certain major GV-oriented bugs will be fixed. These were reported via the Bug forum after the last update, but no response or action was ever seen.
These bugs have been mentioned by, and impacted, nearly everyone I know who GV's, appearing after the last major update. The worst IMO is the non-resolution to detail of the trees at approx. 2000 ft., as seen from a tank's main gun. Because the trees remain in their course, blurred state instead of going detailled, it is impossible to see any GV in, near or around a forest thicket at that relatively close distance. All that can be seen is the tracer round that comes out and kills you.
The second bug is the (and I'm guessing as to what it really is) are the invisible wall of trees(?) that causes a GV gun round to explode high in the air, even though there is nothing, but completely open ground between you and the target. Some type of invisible object is there, and it often only affects one side as I've been killed directly through the object by the opposing GV.
At the very least, I would appreciate an acknowledgement of these problems by HiTech.
P.S. These were reported properly as bugs in the past.

Don't forget the destroyed hangar that becomes a corral.

Ya, heck to take a v base you only need to close the 1 main hanger takes for ever to get out of it by backing up.

those invisible walls stop bombs also, and damage from blasting. Dont you often see perfectly fine FLAKS shooting thru 1K bomb impacts that are just "over" them ? Worst is that you don't see them, they are under the crater texture.

Those invisible walls aren't because of level of detail settings being set to low, by any chance?

yeah the tree bug is bad..it was fine before last update if that helps

Nope, I've noticed any group of trees over 1600 yds becomes a solid wall, making it impossible to see the person shooting at you yet he has a perfect view of you if you are not also in trees. My detail is set at max (all the way to left).

I asked him if, by any chance, the second wasn't the first in disguise.
You're suggesting the second is not the first because it is in fact the first.

It is my belief that they are the same bug, that there is a tree or two by the enemy vehicle that by some reason you don't see at that distance, however if you were to get closer it would mysteriously appear just like when you get closer to a cluster of trees you can suddenly see through them. I think they are related to one thing and that's the graphic detail which seems to be getting worse with each patch.
quite a few patches ago it was no problem seeing a enemy tank sitting in the tree line and no invisible trees, now all you see is square blob of green foliage and occasionally invisible trees.
Not complaining just stating what I see everyday in a GV and I do spend most of my time in a GV. I'm hoping when the new terrain comes out that the graphic detail comes out better then it currently is.

Actually, if the next update contains the new terrain "stuff", then maybe this won't be an issue any longer, so a patch (or comments from HTC) would be unnecessary.
I've been tinkering with my detail and distance settings since the last patch, when Jaxxo pointed out that odd bush texture, and even if I max everything (which throttles my poor old AMD 2400 ), I still run into invisible objects, or trees which can only be seen at full zoom, while I'm up against them. There certainly seems to be some sort of texture issue, but I've no idea what it is, or even how to direct HT to look at a tree that I can't see.

the bug is one particular bush type...its looks like a blob from about 1400 out and if a gv is behind it you cant see the gv..just the tracer from the tank that just killed you...however you can see all other objects clearly in full zoom

trees over a certain distance are "simplified" into large boxes to help your pc getting acceptable FPS in zoom, the problem is that the boxes blocking damage are simplfied as well (or so I think) thus blocking your bullets.
Its a balance between performance and realism, and HTC as choosed performance so its seems. I'm not against it as I get riduloulsy low FPS sometimes looking at the trees with my AMD4000+ single core and a X1600, but the invisible wall problem is really unacceptable, and spoiling game experience. I suspect also some map problems concerning the bullets/bombs stopped in mid air, but once again its only my intuition I have no proof nor I am dev.
I really hope HTC will find a way around the trees without just asking more power from our machines. Come to think of it how much FPS will we loose with a windmill on sight or a whole forest of those new trees ? Is the PC making the screenshots a quad core with 2x8800's in SLI ? :furious
