I DLed ver 108 ran the install, and all went well. I started the game and set my video up (800x600 tried both 16 bit and 32 bit) I got the start screen with the notepad, then the troubl begins. When I try off line I get to the "walk into the tower" and the I get the blue screen with "Fatal error at 0028:C16F34CA in VXD Asp4Wave(01)+0001455A" If I try to get to the H2H area, I get to setup my arena and select a plane. I have made it to the end of the runway before I get the same blue screen and error. HELP!!

Ok, you NEED directX 7 or higher, you can get 8.1 now and most haven't had problems with it.
You also will have to get the latest drivers for your hardware.
Also.. what hardware do you have?

ya sorry, I was running out the door when I posted, and remembered I never put my info down. OK this it what I have...
850 celeron
512 megs ram
voodoo 3
vortex full duplex sound card
surfboard cable modem
I installed DX 8.01a with the same results. I can run WWII and AWMV with no problems on this system. Any hints as to were to look in my system to tweak to AH would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Maddog maybe you should search this form to see if others have the same problem.

I just thought of something, I'll test it and edit this post if it's useful.
You need to be on 16bit.

Try this tweak program. It was posted here but I don't remember where and who posted it.

Thanks, I'll look into the voodoo fix. I found a problem with how my sound card worked with DX8 getting the newest drivers seems to have fixed the "blue screen of death", but now I can't get windows to see my CH joystick. I can use CH jstick tester in dos and it works, but it performs an illegal operation when I try it in windows. I got the newest drivers from CH for my stick and installed them, but no luck yet. Any ideas?

So you mean that windows can't find the joystick in the
my computer, control panel, gaming options.
or it see it put nothing works, like you can't calibrate it.
I don't have CH flight stick, I have a SWPro3D but must set it up as a CH flight stick pro lol.

Pokie, Thanks for all your help. The new drivers for my sound card would not load up a "gameport" so windows won't see a port, never mind a joystick. I found some more drivers that both work with DX8 AND has a gameport !!! OK so now I have to figure out how to fly this thing! Cya up !!

MDJOE: Most likely your Voodoo3 does not have Dx8 certified drivers which could lead into problems like yours.
Since Voodoo support has been canceled ions ago it would be smart to get a new display card.

Thanks Mr RipLEy, I got everything running and then the subscription servers went down this past weekend LOL!!! So I finally got everything set and I'm flying, I'll be the one the "host" will be talking about for sometime :D
I'd love a new video card, but me and video card upgrades turn into REAL horror shows! LOL!! Maybe I'll bring my box to somebody :p
Thanks Again!
