Title: Software recodmenation
Post by: Estes on March 27, 2007, 09:11:11 PM
Looking for a piece of software that I can put appointment dates in, and then notify say a day before as a reminder. I know I can put them in Outlook, but that all depends on if I happen to open Outlook that day.

I have so many doctors appointments, and such its hard to keep up with on paper. So if anyone has any software suggestions I'd much appreciate it.

whatever software you use to track it, you'll have to open/run it for it to notify you .. just like you'd have to open Outlook.
If you have Outlook already, I suggest putting it in your startup folder so it opens up when you first boot your computer up. It's pda friendly too.

I would rather write you an application than see you have to use Outlook for something like this.  You need a light-weight reminder program.  Easy enough to do.

First off, lose outlook.

Get firefox2 and Thunderbird.

Then there was an add on calendar function in Firefox that should do what you want.
