Title: Problems with running the game

Hi

I have downloaded today the actual version Ah1086.exe and when after installation I want to run it, my computer shows me tha follwing message:
" Ein an das System angeschlossenes Gerät funtioniert nicht". In the sametime another message appears:
"Die Datei ACESHIGH.EXE ist verknüpft mit dem fehlenden Export-DDRAW.DLL: DirectDrawCreateEX".
All my programs work ok. Hope somebody can help me.

What it looks like in my translation is
"system is having a good night" then something about createEx.... In California here (land of the divorce) we erase all commands that "createEx"

Like my friend.... he meets a girl and just buys her a new house.... saves him all the trouble in between...

It sounds very much like a driver/directX problem.

What video card do you use, and which driver version are you running?

Which version of DirectX are you using?

Could you include some details about your computer? Which windows version, which processor, how much Ram and so forth?

Try installing Direct X 8.0a or Direct X 8.1.  Direct x 8.1 is the newest version and would be at www.microsoft.com/directx (http://www.microsoft.com/directx)
