Title: AG Gonzales - keep or toss?
Post by: Gunthr on March 29, 2007, 07:47:22 AM
I say toss.

I would have loved to hear Gonzales tell Congress: In my capacity as USAG, I personally approved the firing of these eight US attorneys because they do not reflect the views of the administration.

i think he could survive that.  but when the chief law enforcement officer in the country has to start parsing words, he's pretty much lost integrity, which hurts the administration and the country.

what gets me, is how can Gonzales be an attorney and not be able to foresee the freight train coming down the track?

He probably knew what might happen, but in this administration, you do what Rove says or else.

Does it make me racist if I say that I've wanted him out ever since he mentioned that he wasn't sure if his parents immigrated legally or not?

I'd keep him, but like I've said previously, Bush has a tiny pair of testicles and will drop him at first convenience.

Bush should keep him.  Keep everything just as it is.  Mybe the President will go on TV and say, "he's staying because I say so."

We can then find a reason to praise consistency.
