Title: ENY Plane boo
Post by: BiGBMAW on March 29, 2007, 10:38:50 AM
Please for the love of COD!!!!!!!!!

Stop the ENY value.........

We who cannot live in this game, have little time to play.....

WHen I log on its extremely annoying not to be able to fly what is available.

Seriously..And I shoudl not have to swap countries..IS there ANY Loyalty here>?..So you ask your Squad to swap over? This brings another set of problesm by itself.....

Simple. Part of what makes us adults is the realization that choices have consequences.

If you choose to stay in one arena, when there are 4 available, YOU have limited your options. If you choose to stay with one country, YOU limited your options. No one else did it, YOU did.

I can't remember seeing a time when both late war arenas had ENY restrictions on the same country; for example, if rooks are hording one, they are low in the other. Even if you are country loyal, you can move and still fly anything.

Besides -- what good is loyalty that whines at sacrifice? Isn't the WHOLE POINT of loyalty staying true to your commitment regardless of cost?

Anyway, you are forgetting that your opponents are human beings with rights, just as important as your rights. If they are outnumbered 2:1, doesn't the ENY help protect their rights too? It leaves the horders with a choice -- to fly a weaker plane, or to find another place/country to fight. And whatever you choose has consequences -- you have to take the good with the bad when you make a choice.

Just not with high ENY planes, or for the other side, right?

Change arenas, change countries, or quit whining.

Only weenies complain for not being able to fly La-7s or other low ENY planes when hording the enemy. :aok

I know this is a waste of time...given the lack of abstract reasoning demonstrated so far. But, i can't help myself.

Irrational Statement #1. You claim to like to fight. You claim to like flying outnumbered, at a disadvantage. BUT you also are :cry 'ing because you can't fly an La-7 or whatever.

Soooo....Your entire gripe is that you can't fly a superior plane when you want to fly at a disadvantage????

LMAO

Irrational Statement #2. You claim that country loyalty (again, the kind of loyalty that demands no sacrifice...but whatever) prevents you from changing.  BUT....If you like flying a numbers disadvantage, then why for the love of Cod does the ENY matter to you at all? Just go to the other LW arena, and you will ALWAYS find no ENY for knights there.

Irrational Statement #3. You call people who fly fast planes "weenies", but 85% of your fighter kills come in the Typhoon and the freekin ME-163
Entirely aside from this detail pretty well proving that you do NOT like a good dogfight, it CLEARLY shows that you loooove your weenie fast planes.

It would be good for you to stop digging, because the hole you've created has gotten pretty deep, and it appears to be filling up with some fairly stinky material.

It doesn't sound like it.  If you did you'd change arenas to the one you're outnumbered in and where you could fly anything you want, not stay in the one where you can safely hide in the hoard and then whine about not getting to fly your uber-plane against the outnumbered country.

Last night about 6pm PST in LWO the Nits were outnumbered 4 to 1. We had 57 players to over a hundred each Rook and Bish. IMO, the eny wasn't nearly restrictive enough at all to balance gameplay. We still fought Pony D's 190D's and all variants of Spits.

If it isn't working like it should then removal of all restrictions should be in order. Then it would be a propper gangbang.

lol.

More planes, more targets.

Get into a furball type plane, and tear some stuff up only caring for kills & friendly's, few minutes later the sky will be full of green, with the red vanishing quickly. Gotta love it,THAT or try to up a p51-38-47 and keep getting punked before you even get your gear up and 500 feet under your wings. :aok

If i know im gonna die, i up a a6m with 25% fuel.
guns guns guns till the enemy is dead and done done done.

All that irrationality, and RUDENESS too!! WTG!

Let me walk you through it....

IF you like to be outnumbered

THEN you have no ENY worries!!

BUT you're still whining

THEREFORE you are not taken seriously.

Any questions?

I suppose ENY works in the large scheme of things but in the small view it can be a real pain.

example: you and 5 other guys are defending a base vs a determined foe who (in large picture) is out numbered, but at this field he has mustered everyone on his side vs the five of you and you are stuck with ENY planes.

result: BBS whine

next result: all the old "pundits" post to the whiner what jerk he is.

this is repeated for all similar whines EVERY day on the boards on any subject which the "pundits" feel is silly.

A list of some fighters with ENY of 15 or more:

F4Us - except 4 and C
F6F Hellcat
Fw.190D9
Fw.190A5/8/F
KI.84
A6M5B
C.205
Bf.109 all variants
P.38 all variants
La.5FN
Yak.9U
P.47D11/25/40
P.51B
Spitfire all variants except XIV and XVI

Among that list are oustanding furballers like the Spits IX and VIII; the second fastest non perk plane  in game at sea level and most alts, the D9; the best climbers in game in the 109s (the K also being first or second in non perk top speed at medium to high alts); Mustangs, Corsairs, Zeros, etc. etc.

Unless you fly the La.7, N1K, Spit.XVI, P.51D or the Perk plane set exclusively, you should never have issues finding a very good plane to use. If you do fly those planes exclusively, well, broaden your horizons a tad.

If I remember right, Spit VIII has a ENY of 8. At least it's considerable below 15.

In Late War its 10, my mistake, thought it was 15.

ENY sucks. i thought thats what different arenas were for.  LW arena was supposed to be the arena that had all the planes. if i wanted limited choice i would have went to EW.
