Anybody know where I can find barrels in 357 magnum? I've been checking gunsamerica but I've never seen them there. I would like to try a snub nose barrel with a small grip.

dan wesson revolvers are now owned by CZ-USA, all they sell now are the 445 super mag, but i think they plan to mfg more calibers.
for wesson parts and service e-mail-- genny@cz-usa.com. --
also e-bay has some barrels for sale.
i have a DW 357, 4" barrel.

Try http://www.gunbroker.com or http://www.auctionarms.com.
You'll find that Dan Wesson often sells stuff on gun broker, and sometimes they have some NOS parts. Also, Numrich often has Dan Wesson stuff. I have a Dan Wesson 44 HV myself, and my hunting buddy has a 744 HV. Best big revolver I've ever owned, period. I've been wanting a 445 SuperMag, but I just bought a Para-Ordnance P14-45, and a Taurus 445 (my wife's new 44 Special), so I'm at my allowance limit for a while.

Thanks. I didn't check ebay because I thought that they didn't allow the sale of firearm parts.

They allow parts and accessories, but not firearms. NEVER pay for ANY firearms purchase with PayPal (I don't use it anyway), they'll lock your account, PayPal HATES guns and gun owners. I know a 1/2 dozen people PayPal did that to.

Awesome thanks! They do indeed have barrels there!
I just bought a handgun for the first time today, a 3rd gen taurus pt140. Don't know how much I'll be able to shoot it since ammo is $10-$20 per box!
Jebus, I can get 1000 rounds for $130 for my evil black rifle.

I reload, if I didn't, I couldn't afford to shoot much at all.

Found a 4" barrel on gun broker for $70, and four complete guns for under $400.
I try to buy on gun broker and auction arms because they fully support gun ownership, they don't just tolerate it to make a buck.

I gave a dan wesson 44 with 4 and 6" barrels to my son cause he kept on me about it... and.. I have 3 other 44's.
I was thinking about the 445 but it looks to be built on a bigger frame that my old 44 mag. Is this true?
I think the DW 44 was about the biggest (size wise) revolver I care to own. seems pointless to have one much bigger. I would buy the 445 if it was the same size...
The idea being that I could shoot it as a 44 mag but once in a while... or out in the woods... a 445
I also reload so in one respect... cost is not important... in another respect... another caliber like a 454 say and 45 colt... is a pain... just more brass and bullets to have around and get mixed up. When reloading 44 mag and 45 acp and ought six and stuff.. there is no confusion.
