Title: Bullets expending faster than guns' ROF
Post by: moot on March 30, 2007, 08:21:39 AM
Pressing your trigger/fire button(s) fractions (the smaller the bigger the effect) of a second at a time will empty your ammo faster than holding down the trigger.

It can make up for a considerable proportion of your total ammo disappearing if you hit your trigger like this more often than not.

Yeah, there was another thread on ROF a while back. As an experiment, I mapped (through my stick software), the secondary fire button to be a single key press and release of .01 seconds, and the YakT would rattle off between 1 and 3 rounds, whereas the 109 with the 30mm would fire only a single round. Didn't check anything else that I remember, but the Yak 37mm's unpredictable bursts surprised me.
