Title: Scoring system and perk points
Post by: miraj on March 30, 2007, 09:48:49 AM
Can someone please give me a feel for how the scoreing /perk system works?

I am trying to build some perk points.

For example ,about how many perk points are given for :

killing a fighter , and returning to base?

killing a bomber and returning to base?

 or

same as above , but crashing or getting shot down on the way home?

I dont know how it works, but if you take planes with high ENY values, get kills and land successfully, you will get higher perk points.

Example take a LA7 (low ENY) and go out and get 4 kills and land,
Likely depending on if you are outnumbered or not you will get 2 perks.

Now take a P40E and try it. You will probably get 10 points, and if your side is outnumbered, 18-20 points.

It's on the website (http://www.flyaceshigh.com/) under "support/help".

Here's the part about perks (http://www.flyaceshigh.com/ahhelp/perks.html).

second link is without frames, so you might want to check the first - lots of information about AH in it. :)

--go in one of those arenas, late war with the lowest number of players on your team, or change coutry to the one with lowest number,  and high "perk multiplier"

-- chose a plane with high ENY value, and resonable fighter, let's say i like 109G2, P38G ENY value is 30, but still good fighter,

-- try to fly smart , cherry pick, look for planes with low eny value, la7, nikis,Spits,P51D  and nail them,   and try to land the kills, you get double perks, for sucssesful landing

Unless it's been changed, the points are awarded as such:

The ENY of YOUR plane / the ENY of the other guys plane = Perk Points.

This then is adjusted by the Perk Point modifier, based of arena numbers, IIRC.

Also, IIRC, if you LANDED your kills, there was a X 1.25 bonus, but not sure if that is still in effect.  I do know landing gives most perk points, a successful ditch or bail will give 50-75% of points earned, bail and capture is less, getting waxed yourself ends with fewest perk points.

So, if looking to earn points;
Fly in Countries with fewer numbers, not with the horde of the day.
Choose Higher ENY planes to fly.  Hunt low ENY planes to kill.
Land your kills, or at least try to ditch in friendly territory.

Instead of La-7's, Nikis, Pony-D, P-47N, Spit 14 or 16's all at ENY 5
Substitute with Ki-84 (ENY15), La-5, Pony-B, Spit9, P-38J&L, C205, P-47-D-40 (ENY20), P-47D25 (ENY22), P47D11, SpitV (ENY25), 109G2&6, P-40E (ENY30), 190A8 (ENY31), Spit 1, C202, P40B (ENY40).
