Title: East side of Houston
Post by: Maverick on March 30, 2007, 12:41:11 PM
I'm over by Highland / Baytown (I-10 787 exit I believe) for a week. I am thinking of going to see the Battleship Texas and a couple other things in between the mandatory mother in law visit. :furious

Anyone in the area? I'll have to plan things dependent on weather as I can't roll the windows up on the motorcycle.

Diablo is down towards the Space Center area below Houston and he likes to drink whiskey and beer! At least he did when I was in the area on business a couple of years ago.

I visited the Galveston facility last year. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was second on this years options since I hadn't seen the BB and the park around it yet. Weather looks pretty iffy for Saturday but decent forcast for Sunday.

You should check out Moody Gardens in Galveston if you get the chance. Great place to visit. We went in the middle of January when it was close to freezing outside and it was a WARM-HUMID 80+ inside. You could also visit SeaWolf park on Galveston Island, Last time I was there they had a WWII sub, Destroyer, and a couple of Korea, VN era jets. :aok
