Title: Sounds of guns interrupted

I recently installed a Diamond Monster MX300 sound card with Aureal Vortex 2 reference drivers.  And now when I press fire I get the gun sounds for a second and then silence and then gun sounds again without interruption.  This only seems to happen when the engine is running in the background... as if two sounds can't be shared at the same time for an instant.  Sound familiar?  Anyone know what's going on?

I too have the same card, and i are running the Aureal Vortex II drivers, not the diamond ones. I dont have the problem you're having - sry.
All i can suggest is to reinstall the latest drivers and then direct-x.

Hope ya get it fixed.

I have a somewhat similar problem with some of the CV guns.  With the exception of the 5"/8" guns...the sound is always intermittent.  Only the CV guns too, tanks/Osti's are fine. SBLive Value.
