Title: Finally!
Post by: Nilsen on March 31, 2007, 05:14:37 PM: After beeing together for about 10 years and living carefully without lending _any_ money and beeing careful i gave the missus the news today :)

We have a beautiful house by the ocean, a sailboat, a motorboat, a fairly new car, NO DEBT whatsoever, don't owe taxes and last but not least a beautiful daughter and one on the way. After she gave me the go-ahead this fall for quitting my job and going all-in for what i wanted with our savings (daytrader) i brok it to her that we just broke 1 million NOK (bout 160.000 US) after my first 6 months. :)

I suprised her with 2 bottles of good champaigne and a real ring for her finger :aok Before today i had not let her know how i were doing as she had given me one year to make it happen or else i would go back to my old job.

I made it.

Now i just have to keep it going, and i have alot riding on one office complex project atm.

Just wanted to let ya know (not that you have any reason to care) :D

Thanks all.

Im done trading for now. I sold of the last bit on friday.

I made a promise to the missus... One million (NOK) by the end of the year and im done either way. As i said im now into another project that i belive in, and so far its on track, but wont pay off (or not) for another couple of months. In a few weeks im starting a firm with two of my friends that are now also involved in the "other" project that is under way.

The missus has been the one keeping us afloat with her paycheck while i have played with our savings so she is just as much a part of it as i am :)
