"organ donor"
-
you got NO room to talk about "Organ Donor" Diablo. You done any reading on you camaro's crash tests?:p
Thinkin a GSXR 750, but might just get the 1000. I hear R1s are real hot, but not many older ones around w/ hi miles like the gixxers. I want somthin thats gonna last.
-
LOL, no reading necessary. Had I been on a sport bike I'd have definately been a "donor"!
:aok
-
well, I can tell you that your car didnt test well. The engine tends to end up in front seat on front end impacts. Not a big surprise really seeing how its positioned 1/4 under windshield from factory.
-
Actually, just looked it up; NHTSA gave it an average of 4 out of 5 stars.
Front impact scored 3 out of 5, a little better than average but certainly not poor.

I love to live on the wild side; my first car was a pinto, and my 76 hotrod p/u still has the side-saddle tank:D
besides, gettin old looks painful:cool:
-
Well, I can certainly understand the "wild" side. I didn't give much thought about safety until my accident. 20 years of accident free driving sort of does that. But, didn't mean to hijack, good luck on your search for a new sport bike.

Maybe it was that front/side, rating of 3. I just recall there being a bit of consumer betching when that bodystyle came out. I was selling them at the time and I remember there being some bad press.

you can't beat the balance of a 750 gsxr , Totally forgiving and very reliable.
the next would be a st1300 there more of a dual purpose bike and alot more comfy to ride on long distances .

I'm not familiar with the ST1300, Who makes that? I have recently started seeing a new bike make on the streets called a Hyosung. I dont know anything about them though.

ST1300 is a Honda. Once version of it is also used for enforcement riding.
I'm sure you want a Ural however. They make severasl model you'd like. ;)

honda st1300
yes the Cops have started to use them also .. along with it being a fav of the iron butt guys ... so they've gone thru some very rigorous testing .

I knew about the Interceptor VFR800s but I didnt know Honda made another sport tourer. I think theres a Kawi out there also, a 1200 If I remember correctly. BMW has a couple nice sport tourers also.
I dont plan on doing alot of long distance rides so I'm leaning more on the sport then the touring.
