never done anything like this before, i think it a pretty good start.  there are some things i want to tweek.  any tips or suggestions would be great.  i was using paintshop pro

Did you use zoom (z key) to capture the main spit? It looks kinda out of whack toward the tail end like you zoomed in without using the 'Z' key.
