I'm confused.
Which plane are you hoping gets voted in? :D
-
Let me think about that for a while....hmmmm.....
(anything but the B-25 at this point)
-
B-25 is the only thing left that plugs a gap.
Thus, that is what I will vote for.
-
I dont see any of them plugging gaps......
B25 >> see somewhere between the B26 and the Boston. Which is a very narrow "gap". Maybe it could have a unique attack role if the G model was optioned.......... dont hold your breath and expect the G model to have perked ordinance to avoid its "abuse"
A26 >> see an Uber A20. Maybe a fast B26 if the C variant is enabled with formations.
Yak3 >> It is a Yak fighter variant IMO. A slightly unique mix of some atributes due to how light it is and how east to see out of it is.
P39 >> In fact this is less like existing ac than the others. F or my part its eventual AH FM is unknown. Well armoured with a big cannon of dubious balistics I see it in a sort oflow alt FW A8 role but without the rollrate and speed.
when would i use them?
std B25? I can see no job i want to do with it.........
A26? Iwould use instead of the A20 now.
Yak 3. With trakIR my rear view stinks in many fighters now. but not so the Yaks. Plus the forward view of the Yak 3 will be the best of any fighter by far. I can turn with most or stall and accel agin em all. I can roll with anything.
P39? Ireally dont know what I would use it for other than the occasional change o scenery.
events?
events is where the P39 can find a role more often than the other 3 IMO

Tilt,
B-25 = early war Allied bomber the Axis fighters can actually catch, sorta.
Wellington would be better.
-
P-39 early 80th aircraft.
Fills hole in Russian set.............

Which begs the question: So why would anyone, outside an EW SEA event, or a die-hard fan, ever fly the B-25?
B-25: Slower than a B-26, half the climb rate of a B-26 (and slower climb than B-24s), less ord carried than a B-26. Stated from on-high that it won't be CV-launched. Why would you take a B-25 if B-26, B-24, B-17, Ju-88, or Lancs were available? A-20's can out-fly the B-25 with comparable ordnance load-outs. Boston III's are faster than B-25's.
What "useful" gap, as pertaining to the Game at large, does a B-25 fill?
Yes, many used in the war. So were Pe-2 and Tu-2's, and they got cut the first round. As an EW arena level bomber? I never see more than two dozen people IN EW at any one time, so I don't see that as a compelling reason. As an easy target in the War Arenas for a couple weeks after its debut, until everyone gets a feel for its performance envelope and limitations? For use in a couple SEA events?
P-39 could at least be added as a Russian Lend Lease plane version for SEA play, and available in EW, MW, and LW. Would do well in EW and MW, not so sure about LW use though, but it might do well.
Yak-3 adds to the small Russian plane-set. Might be a scrappy little dog-fighter, but I don't think it will change the playing field much going up against all the Spits. Short legs and limited ammo carried will hurt widespread use of it.
A-26 adds a perk-worthy bomber for buff drivers to spend bomber perk points on, other than the Arado. May lead to fewer incidents of buff drivers using bomb-and-bail tactics, as they don't need the points for anything right now. Replacement in the War for A-20's, B-26's, and B-25's and it's performance may allow it to function and compete in LW arena against all the ENY 5 planes found there. Being a perk plane will hang a big "kill me!" icon on it though.

I'd hate to see the damage model for that plane, what with that crazy geodetic construction.
