Title: will this do for upgrade

can any one tell me if the
abit k7 motherboard and
an athlon t-bird 1000mhz
cpu be any good. i have
pc100 ram now that i will
have to use until i can get
the pc133 ram. i have 128mb
now. would this be a good choice
and what kind of FRs would i get
(i have the v770 ultra 32mg vid card)

That's a pretty good choice.  (Though I prefer the Asus A7V over the Abit KT7.  You might want to look at www.tomshardware.com (http://www.tomshardware.com)  and see the reviews and the number of articles on the 2 boards.  Also, that new computer article on "building your own" mentions the A7V.)

You would probably get around 60 - 70 fps with that set up.  Get a GeForce and PC133 and you will probably get 90.
