Instead of the CV and CA always going down by the bow, how about it sometimes just blows up in a massive explosion, and then sinks.

A few more interesting effects wouldn't be bad. As much as I like seeing people slide off the deck as it sinks, seeing them hurled into the air by a massive explosion wouldn't be too bad either.
