You find unusual things to do when boredom sets in. Like this...

I've done it in a SpitVII before everytime I try that in a 38 I go boom :D
-
OK, not the TA but falls into the "arsing around" category.......

Love the 163...but...have you noticed the turbine on the nose stops when you shut off the engine like a prop would? :lol
-
rocket planes have turbines ?

it had a small propeller on the nose to run the generator to run the electronics. it was just a free spinning one, and the airflow powered it

I like to grab a plane and see how long I can fly around with one part dragging on the ground. I'm easily amused when my ISP dies.

thx for the explanation
So the pilot had no electronics or light until they took some speed ?

At some point with a spit (EDIT : in other planes also...ok am a spit dweeb) you can end doing a sideway landing with no gear, first time I did it was on MA and I had no choice :) I tried to do it in a town lately because I thougt the builds were gonna stop me on the concrete, But I just went thru them, and ended up ditching on the soft grass of my own town !!!!

Bah!
go through a hangar upside down in a tiger and I'll be impressed ;)
-
Go offline and turn the wind up with a big updraft. You can fly like a helicopter even with the power off.
-
is it boredome or curiosity that makes us do these things?
-
Now that I can't pick on the mega-stupid-heads in the TA I have to amuse myself somehow.
-
Thought we shot JB73 ? :p Then he arose again as Mustaine :O (no taste in music:D ) Now he's been reincarnated as JB again  How bout JBMust73 ? Shows were he was conceived, been and how old the fart is :rofl :rofl :rofl
-

mustaine is currently PNG
:(
been using 73 for over a month :D

Hubs, you are not the only one.
I remember before Ah, i played ww2 fighters, and you could* survive very** hard belly slams into the ground,if you pulled too low of a roll, you could hit your belly and jack your planes airframe up.
Never have i been able to do this in aceshigh "1"
To my dismay a few nights ago i did manage to have enough angel to get my prop over the "damage" point of angle...only to slap my rear into the ground,i lost my rudder and damaged my 47's elivator aswell.
Anyhow, something that has pissed me off for years, is finaly doable..dunno if maby its just me or the game.
ither way, i love it.
"com'on baby..com'om......SLAM!.....weeee..im alive..my engines still runing...yeeeeHAAH!"
I like beer.

I think AH has a fairly hard coded if you touch the runway belly first at over 200mph you go boom. better then the 500Kph ditches you can get away with in ww2ol though. I like landing the RV on top of hangers and not in one piece on top of the radar tower building.
-
I have no screenshots of this, but a while back I was trying to land a Zeke, a D3A, and a B5N on top of the indestructable hangar with no success. Damn close on one landing though before my plane teetered off the edge.
I'm gonna have to try that again.:D
-
i love duin that in the 163.:aok

In AH, if you make contact with anything on the ground at speeds above 150, I think, you just go boom. You used to be able to ditch at high speeds, but that was changed a while back (2 years or so?).

Try landing a C-47 on top of the headquarters building...
