Title: HELP (cant start the Game)

when i click on the starting icon a message comes up saying:

C: Games\aceshi 1\aceshigh.exe

a device attached to the system is not functioning.

when i click ok on that msg i get another one after saying:

the aceshigh.exe file is linked to missing export ddraw. dll' diretdrawcreaterex.

what do i do?

I'm not much into troubleshooting problems but I know others will probability want to know?

what is your video card
what is your sound card
what version of windows
what version of DirectX

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the game, I've also seen where a download looks good but wasn't.  You could try downloading it again.

I had the same problem with my new pc.  I had to install DirectX 8.  If you have it already make sure your video drivers are the latest out there.  Then uninstall Aces high including the HTC directory in your Explorer.

Once that is finished try reinstalling AH again and see what happpens.

Yeah that problem is obviously related to directx. The error says a .dll file containing directdraw data is missing or moved. Install Dx8.1 and try again.
