Well, first draft of my first movie, cos I'm spotting errors all over the place but I shall sling it up anyway.
Errr, a little bit about it....
It's from this Friday past's FSO (3 ring Circus - Frame 2). I'm kinda new to this movie making lark so like I said, the transitions I don't like too much, in fact, to put it plainly, they suck but you live and learn. I wanted it to feel like it was being filmed by a chase plane so I used a lot of pan and zoom to give it some motion - I hate the AH Film viewer's static representation, it really doesn't add any depth to the content seeing a plane rotating around a point in the center of the screen.
I also discovered that I ran out of music really quickly. I started off thinking "Man, I'm gonna have to put a lot of filler into this 4 minute film after the 6 kills are in" and started off with that in mind, adding a ton of filler and spent too much time on the 2nd Spit 9, waiting for it to die. By kill 3, I was almost done with the track and had to squeeze kill 4 in and a quick landing.
Anyway, here it is, my first AH flick with all the errors included for you to laugh at. If I get another block of 3 hours away from the kids, I'll probably remake it and improve the quality. I ideally wanted it to be HD WS but figured you'd all hate downloading that monster so I settled for this lesser quality version.
I used;
AH Film Viewer
Fraps
Vegas 6
and as I said, spent a whole 3 hours on it which isn't much when I think about it.
Enjoy my learning experience

for your first attempt mate you done very good,i like the view from the front like it wasa chase plane.
Ah film viewer isn't a great place to start but youv worked it qute well,u could try a couple of fades for te transatons but its all about personal choice.
Thing is if u enjoy it keep doing it

Tinmanx: Great first movie! Very nicely done. The Vegas camera pan/crops add a lot to the dynamics of the movie.
Not sure what you have your WMV encoding settings set for. You can increase the detail of your movie even more.

I liked it Tinman, looked good for your first one. From when I started it took alot of trial and error to see what works and what doesn't.
I am trying to do another one and wanted to do it for this FSO we are doing now.... So, could I have some of your AHF from it? I give you my sad face... :(
Once again, nice job!

Wish I'd seen this before I downloaded what said it was Home FX pro but turned out to be Home Computer Killa!
I'd just finished the reworking of the above movie too, have it burned to DVD and will try and get it up when anti virus has given me the bad/good news.
If the AHF survives the clean up, it was in little peices when I'd finished working with it anyway. I can definatly send you my Fraps clips though.

No problem bro... If you have some that would be cool to have the "Enemy View" of the fight. If you have them when your done let me know and we can figure out how to transfer them. If they don't survive.... I sill do the illustration with stick figures and stick planes. :D Good luck with your fix!

if you are talking enemy battles than disregard this but if not you can click the names in the roster on the right column and you can get in that players plane

Yeah I know that, made over a dozen films in the past two or three years. But All 200 players are not around each other when the fight happens. You only have a range of about 8k and then the player is not usable anymore. I was not around Tinman this past week and he had a gaggle of guys around him. I also just wanted film of him landed, taking off, etc. to splice into a film. Now I just have to go through all of mine and find stuff.... I really need to label these someday. :D

I never recorded the mass take off, I hate those things and they always look kinda crappy with 50 planes inside each other. I think I frapped my TO after my re-arm though if you want that, I also have my final land frapped.
