Well I broke down last week and bought a Saitek X36 stick/throttle system. It arrrived today got it all loaded up everything seemed ok till I got in AH when I realized what I think to be the rudder being mapped to one of the joystick axis' or somthin I dunno but rudder control is impossible and the keyboard rudder commands don't do anything. When I checked under the "select joystick" menu it said it was a Saitek P750 Gamepad or somthin like that. Is there a way to make AH recognize the correct stick?

Ok got the first problem under control but AH still was calling it a Saitek P750 pad so I reinstalled the joystick, software all that stuff now AH is saying I have no joystick at all. > (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

What does Windows say you have connected?
There are others that use the X36 combo, I'm hoping one of them will drop into this thread and help out. If not, try a post in Hardware & Software about how to get the X36 working and I'm sure you'll get some responses.

Have you tried the Saitek Help center?

If you don't find the answer you should be able to post your problem.

Yeah I guess the Hardware/Software forum would be a better place I'll try reposting there. I can get AH to either call this thing a P750 gamepad or nothing at all but not an X36 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Soulyss, I can't say what your stick problem might be... but I can say that I'm using the X36 Combo (USB*) with great results. This is my setup...
Win98
Factory supplied drivers for the stick, from the CD that came in the box.
Also using CH Pro Pedals.
My system likes to insist that the pedals have the controller ID1, stick ID2. Don't know if this matters, doesn't seem to.
* I did have problems before switching to the USB ports... the gameport connection would "spike" the stick every minute or so, shooting all my rockets, bombs, flaps, gear, etc. USB fixed it all.
Since you didn't really describe your system, I hope the description of mine helps. Hang in there, it really is a great system once it works.
