Title: reful plane
Post by: maproy99 on April 08, 2007, 06:15:32 PM
Are you flying but ran out of fuel?  Why not put a reful plane like they have today? Make it a choise for players, but 2 people have to work it. :O  One person would control boum with mouse while the pilot flew and the piolt of the other aircraft would have to help too.

 :D

If anyone has support or other things let me know
:aok :D :furious :rofl

Uh they didn't have tankers in WWII. There were some expirements done prior to the war but those all involved a hose set up. The boom style of tanking wasn't developed until the late 40's (after the war) using converted B-29 bombers.

No WWII aircraft was set up for air to air refueling, i.e. no refueling probe for a hose and drouge, or a boom receptical for boom ops.

Might want to take a little time to study up on the subject before making outlandish requests for something that was never used nor even possible with the technology of the time.

i agree 100% only sea planes(ex. scout, pby, .etc) could be refueled by tanker submarine

My gosh kids these days. They use to think the B-29 was the Jet bomber we have today, and the B-52 was the WW2 4 engine prop bomber that dropped nukes. Then they though the F-86 fought in WW2, and then they thought the P-80 fought in WW2, and then they thought the B-25 was a CV bomber aircraft, then they thought the Americans took Berlin, then they thought Eisenhower was President and then they thought the Ben Affleck was a real WW2 hero, and then they thought during the Cold War the U.S.A. and U.S.S.R. launch nukes at each other, then they thought the M8 was a tiger killer, then they thought the P-51D won WW2 by itself, then they thought the we never envaded North Africa and envaded Italy before Operation Overlord, and they thought Operation Overlord was really just called D-Day, when D-Day ment the day of an invasion, and then they thought our current president flew the TBM in WW2, and then they thought JFK flew U2s over Cuba during WW2, then they thought the Invasion of Normandy was the turning point of WW2 when it was Stalingrad, and then they thought the Japs the SAM on their island, and now they think we had refuel planes during WW2.

Whats next, the F-4 flew in Korea? I tell you, kids these days don't know nothing about WW2.

can anyone get any more retarded? i mean, not using caps is perfectly acceptable here. punctuation is leviant. but this is a mess of gross misuse of 9th grade english class.

this also goes in the "wishlist"

and know your history, please.

Probably not. If you read what he typed, he said..
"like they have today." Which means he understands there was no inflight refueling in WWII. He's just some poor kid that wants something he can't have and he made a foolish post. Kind of like you with all this whining since the a-26 was dropped.
Title: and if they made it this is why it would suck

--.-- We would have a whole new version of noobs who camp people trying to "REFUL" and it would go to waste sitting there wasting memory on the server because no one would want 2 ttake risk. Oh yeah and if you knew what amounts of gas you needed and how to conserve gas well when not fighting just coasting around. Exp's u wasted ur time getting a plane 30k ur burning alot of fuel up there and not going very fast just shut the engine off and glide to whereever u need to go...And having people in 163's "REFULING"wud suck cause everyone would be able 2 own u anywhere not just hq

OK anyone care to translate this into english for me?? While I'm at it here, do they even teach English Composition in schools anymore? How about the weekly spelling tests? I'm not claiming to be an english wizz or anything but I got a head ache trying to read this post.

Mid air refueling in WW2 was the single most important mission in winning the war!  You guys have no idea what you're talking about!

Well, they did do refueling experiments where drop tanks were held behind a bomber by a hook and a P-38J would snag it on the fuselage, but they decided it was impractical. :noid

But seriously... why would you do that. People would be able to land even more kills if they could just refuel in mid air without having to worry about landing than hoping to god they dont crash while refueling and take-off also its wierd.... when you take-off after having landed without auto-take off enabled the take-off time is cut much shorter I have noticed this alot and it puzzles me.

i saw one one site they had a reful plane in ww2. But it wasn't 100% good, sometimes propellers wpuld get caught and but planes would go down.  :p
I don't know it the site was rong or right. Why don't they just add nuk bombs for all I care. I usually bend my props landind and it is hard to take off in some planes because of tourk. I resourched and found a site that said there was a reful plane so i made this. :aok   You wonder why i came up with this, why not wonder why when you reful and reloud why don't you get repared?? :t    Think about that!

Please tell me your in the 2rd grade or something. My daughter is in 3rd grade now and her English composition is better than yours. Please tell me you are NOT a product of public education in the United States. If so I fear for my future and the future of this country.

I found 18 gramatical mistakes in your post. Be thankfull I'm not your English teacher because you would have just gotten an F!!!! That was just a quick look too.

If you want to be taken seriously on these boards, then present your ideas in a serious manner. Grammer counts for something. So does research.

What about KC-130's, didn't they make it into the war in 1944?
