Title: Screen freezing
Post by: BearEAF51 on January 26, 2001, 10:45:00 AM
I just downloaded and installed AH.
Evry time I try to launch AH it starts going out from control tower, than screen freeze. The only way to exit is abrubtly switching off my PC.
I already set 32 bit with 3dfx Voodoo
I am using currently PII 450Mhz, 64Mb Ram, Voodoo 1 4mb.
I already uninstalled and re-installed AH 3 times. Now I am getting frustrated. HELP!

Alternative 1: forget AH
Alternative 2: buy a new computer
Alternative 2: anyone has a suggestion?

A couple things:

A.  Voodoo cards CANNOT use 32 bit color in games, set it to 16 bit.

B.  4MB of video memory is not really enough to play AH.  (8 MB is the minimum.)

Yep, what bloom said.. and in addition, I had  some woe's even with the min. requirements, until I upgraded to 128 meg. of ram, though that is dependant on the system you have...

First, find a 16 meg. video card, you can probably find one on these boards for about $20 bucks used....then if you have the extra cash, invest in another 64 meg of ram, todays prices you should be paying only about $30 bucks for that.
