Title: Another .GIF question.
Post by: Denholm on April 10, 2007, 12:50:13 PM
I'm using Jasc Animation Shop 3 to make a .gif animation. My problem however is that the pictures I am attempting to insert are too large for the frames and scaling the images down would mean you can't see the content. I want to paste the entirety of the picture into the active frame and re-adjust the image to show the content (Which I know how to re-adjust the image after a paste).

My problem however is this. Jasc is setup to scale down the image pasted into the frame or cut it and put pieces of it all over the frame. I have looked into the settings and have tried multiple ways to get it to make a full paste. In other words, when I ask it to paste, it does not scale down / cut my copied image.

Any suggestions or ideas?

I usually size them first as single images in PSP and turn the colors down as much as possible without losing content.  There's probably a workaround for this but I haven't seen it yet

Just use the crop tool to crop the image first.

You can see the dimensions the crop is set to on the status bar.
So set the dimensions first, then move the crop box left/right/up/down to were you want it.
