Title: WTH is up with the server?
Post by: Major Biggles on April 10, 2007, 01:44:03 PM: something really odd going on, i can't log in. i can sometimes get to the arena list, and sometimes manage to get into an arena, but then it shows no one on the roster...

anyone else having problems, or is this at my end?

A few possible reasons.

1: server are being reset/scanned for viruses .ect

2: uploading patch to server

3: uploading new maps to server

4:error testing such said changes/updated to make sure everything is runing solid.

5: the world is ending and our government is cutting all connection to the outside world.

Unless there is some whcky Internet burp going on.

If I had an explanation it would have been forthcoming. Truth is, sometimes the Internet just has problems. I have not seen any data to show what the potential issue is and I cannot duplicate the issue from work, nor at home.

I am not saying your problems do not exist. I am saying that in all likelihood it appears to be an Internet related issue. That, however, takes a bit more scrutiny to determine.

Post by: kvuo75 on April 10, 2007, 10:42:05 PM: skuzzy.. I remember today at around 2:45pm PDT today, I also couldnt get in either.. I logged in, and every arena showed up as closed, so exited and tried again, and got one of either host not found or host connection lost or "host something or something".. waited another 20 minutes or so, logged in no problem..

I can understand the host not found or host connection lost error where it pops up a box that says plainly that something is wacked... is the successful login and ah2 showing closed arenas the same thing?

Post by: Skuzzy on April 11, 2007, 05:58:17 AM: Essentially, yes. It is a one way connection in that case. A connection is established, but no data is being shuffled to/from the client after connecting.

First this happened after the patch inastll. SO I un installed AH and redownloaded New version. Still same

Post by: TexInVa on April 12, 2007, 05:18:31 AM: If you use ZoneAlarm, you may need to "ALT-TAB" out of AHII back to the desktop and allow AHII access.
